The TCDSB Literacy Team is dedicated to on-going professional learning in literacy. We view literacy as much more than reading and writing and are collaborating with colleagues across our system to explore and deepen our understanding of literacy in the 21st century.
This year we are working with teachers in a variety of ways: in Literacy Inquiry Teams, in our Professional Learning Series, and in coaching relationships.
In this blog we will share our learning while highlighting our ongoing work with our teachers. Our reflections will focus on student learning, literacy practices, the Ontario curriculum and professional resources.
We will be updating our blog on a regular basis. Be sure to visit often for resource suggestions, links to videos and articles and practical classroom strategies.

Love the blog everyone. This is a wonderful way to keep educators in the know with up to date research, materials and news we need to promote literacy in our schools. Well done!
Fantastic! Well organized and packed with information!
Great ideas and resources. I encourage all educators in the TCDSB to promote the love of reading for one and all.
So good! Have thought about granting the appropriate Creative Commons license?
